Backgammon Deluxe Free

Great way to pass the time!

Not deluxe

No double cube, "hard" level is easy to beat; computer moves are illogical.

I like it

I really do like this Backgammon app but its not a gutsy opponent. This version does no take chances and is focused on advancing to the home quadrant and not taking me off the board very often.

Hooked!

Was taught this game in about 15 minutes last year, downloaded this app ... Play 10-15 games a day now lol.

Good fun

I like that there is no redoing or back button. Keeps you on your toes.

Pointless and full of ads

Absolutely no challenge, monotonous music, no options and after every hand you are bombarded with ads. A complete waste of time.

So weak

Even the hardest level is weaker than a small childs play.

Backgammon review

Simple in the version I played, but enjoyable!

Fa schifo.

Solid game, but...

The computer plays the game like a true beginner, and seems to be programmed to make very basic mistakes... If you have played just a little bit, you will win much more than your fair share of games. Other than that it is well done and will absolutely entertain any beginner.

Great game

This app works great. I havent experienced the glitches others have mentioned. I play this on my iPhone 6 and enjoy playing.

Completely unfair

The dice always rolls in the computers favor.

Fun game

fun to play. I just wish it would be a little more challenging and have various levels to advance to. Too many adds in between every game. Is frustrating and just turn to another game.

No cheating dice!

One of the few backgammon games with random dice

SWEET & SIMPLE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great app. Nothing to buy. Free game. Ads only after game is complete. ***** for sure. Great for learners as well.

Not bad...

The offered backgammon games for iPad are AWFUL... Almost every game is programmed to be in favor of the cpu instead of moves being random. This game seems to be a rare offering where the cup moves are random. At the same time, the cpu doesnt take advantage of moves against the player when it could, at least in the medium difficulty setting. Still, at least you dont have the frustration of skillfully playing to advantage only to have the cpu make a series of moves that are statistically impossible. So Ill give this offering a good score, but not perfect.

Glitches

I play this regularly. It is very frustrating that it is so glitchy. Also I wish it had a change last move option. Too often I move stone to wrong spot due to small screen. Second, it would great to have it more difficult. Even the most difficult option is too easy.

Crash Crash Crash

The software is unstable and crashes from time to time, usually toward the end of a game. Amusing how it rolls the dice to its advantage--adds to the challenge. Would be nice to have real random deals. Nice when it works but, gosh, fix those crashes!!!

Fair

Game is well designed, and fun to play. BUT dice rolling is rigged and not random. I would rather play where I have a 50-50 chance, than where the dice are fixed.

Backgammon

The computer is dumb as a stone making all kinds of obviously stupid moves. I even wrote to the provider with no response. Id rate it two stars at best. Out of 556 games recorded, I have 185 wins, 287 gammon and 44 backgammons to the computers 29 wins and 11 gammons. I re-loaded this program six months or so after the review above. I have played only seven games so far. The game still has outstanding graphics and seems, so far, to be a better player. Id give it 4 stars only because it still doesnt keep score. Once again I am rating the game after the revisions. Duh! Music and no score card. Still dumb as a stone even on "Hard". Hard is actually novice. Come on. Please get a real algorithm to plan with some pizzazz.
